Ana Rita Sequeira is a Senior Lecturer in Health Policy at the Murdoch Business School, Murdoch University, and serves as the Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching. She chairs the Health Administration, Policy and Leadership Program. Her roles emphasize academic leadership in health policy, education innovation, and global health governance.
Education: She holds a PhD in Sociology and Public Policies from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), focusing on malaria management in Mozambique. Additional qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Anthropology (1st Class Honours) and a Graduate Certificate in African Studies.
Research Interests: Ana's work spans Health Policy, Global Health, Healthcare Administration, and COVID-19 Policy Analysis. She explores cross-national pandemic responses, volunteer-driven dementia care, and strategies to strengthen health systems. Her recent projects include the International COVID-19 Vaccine Preferences Project and studies on rare disease impacts.
