Ana Teresa Afonso is a Guest Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the School of Sociology and Public Policy, ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), and a Research Assistant at CIES-Iscte – Center for Research and Studies in Sociology, within the research group 'Gender, Life Course and Health.' She teaches Public Health in Humanitarian Action in the Erasmus Mundus Master’s program at ISCTE-IUL.
