Kevin Hirschi, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Bicultural-Bilingual Studies Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) within the College of Education and Human Development. He specializes in second language acquisition (SLA) with a focus on pronunciation, technology for language analysis, and corpus linguistics. Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (Northern Arizona University, 2024) His research explores the intersection of technology and SLA, particularly using machine learning for pronunciation evaluation, mobile-assisted learning, and discourse intonation. He has taught language pedagogy courses in three countries and has over 15 years of experience in ESL instruction, international teaching assistant training, and self-access learning systems.
