Kevin Hirschi, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Bicultural-Bilingual Studies Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) within the College of Education and Human Development. He specializes in second language acquisition (SLA) with a focus on pronunciation, technology for language analysis, and corpus linguistics.
- Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (Northern Arizona University, 2024)
His research explores the intersection of technology and SLA, particularly using machine learning for pronunciation evaluation, mobile-assisted learning, and discourse intonation. He has taught language pedagogy courses in three countries and has over 15 years of experience in ESL instruction, international teaching assistant training, and self-access learning systems.
