Dr. Yingjie Li is an Associate Teaching Professor of Chinese and the Chinese Language Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder. She holds a BA in English Education from Chongqing, China, an MA in Curriculum and Teaching with a TESOL specialization (2008) from the University of Kansas (KU), and a PhD in Foreign Language Education (2016), also from KU. Her research focuses on enhancing L2 learners' Mandarin Chinese pronunciation through technology-driven methods. She previously taught at KU for over a decade and earned a Graduate Certificate in Second Language Studies (2017) during her tenure there.
Her expertise includes second language acquisition, Chinese pedagogy, and TESOL. Recent work emphasizes pronunciation instruction for Mandarin learners. She has published her doctoral dissertation on high variability phonetic training methodologies.
