Alicja Rumianowska is a postdoctoral researcher at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where she runs her own singing class. She is affiliated with Department III – Vocal and Acting at the institution. Dr. Rumianowska is a graduate of the singing class of Professor Zofia Janukowicz-Pobłocka at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Her professional expertise lies in vocal performance and opera. With a rich repertoire spanning numerous operatic roles including Ramiro in Mozart's La finta giardiniera, Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, and various other roles in works by Puccini, Verdi, and others, she has established herself as a notable vocalist in the Polish music scene. Her work encompasses both traditional operatic repertoire and contemporary Polish compositions. Dr. Rumianowska has received recognition for her contributions to music, including an award from the Mayor of Gdańsk for her album recording featuring songs by Gdańsk composers Władysław Walentynowicz, Konrad Pałubicki and Henryk Hubertus Jabłoński. As an educator, she runs her own singing class at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, mentoring the next generation of vocalists. Her performance career includes extensive collaborations with the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, Pomeranian Philharmonic Orchestra, Open Theatre, and various early music ensembles. Her artistic engagements span opera performances, oratorio presentations, song recitals, and festival appearances both in Poland and internationally, including the Early Music Festival in Germany. She has participated in significant cultural events such as Gdańsk's millennium celebrations and premiered contemporary works including Beata Wróblewska's opera Sic itur ad Deum.
