Dr. Wen-Ling Liu is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Hull University Business School, part of the Faculty of Business, Law and Politics at the University of Hull. She teaches courses on marketing management, advertising and media, marketing communications, and supervises PhD students. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, advertising strategies, new media, online marketing, decision-making processes, and cross-cultural marketing challenges.
Dr. Liu has over a decade of professional experience in marketing and business before transitioning to academia. She received the Postgraduates Choice Award 2015 at the University of Hull's Annual Student-Led Teaching Awards, reflecting her commitment to teaching excellence.
Her research spans both marketing and interdisciplinary biological studies, as evidenced by her thesis on calpain-like proteins in Trypanosoma brucei (2010) and her contributions to advertising research in China (2009). Dr. Liu employs mixed-methods approaches, including experimental testing and factor analysis, to explore consumer behavior and marketing strategies.
