Tracey Fuller

Dr. Tracey Fuller is a Lecturer in Childhood and Youth at the University of Sussex's School of Education and Social Work. A UKCP-registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, she holds a B.Ed from Cambridge, M.Ed, and PhD from Sussex. She co-directed the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling program at the University of Cambridge.

Her research examines therapeutic alliances in safeguarding contexts, wellbeing in educational settings, and relational methodologies. She developed the concept of 'phronesis' (practical wisdom) for counseling research.

Publications focus on ethical challenges in school counseling and trauma-informed approaches for adolescents in care. Her award-winning PhD research explored trust dynamics during safeguarding disclosures.

She teaches therapeutic approaches and research methods while supervising PhD projects on teacher-student relationships. She maintains clinical practice through the NSPCC and multilingual support programs.
