Tracey Williams is a Tutor in the Department of Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University, holding dual roles as an academic and registered counselling practitioner. She teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate psychology courses, leading modules like 'Transitions into Counselling & Psychotherapy' and 'Personal Development and Reflection.'
Her research focuses on trauma-informed care for vulnerable populations, including looked-after children and frontline workers. Currently completing a PhD investigating trauma-informed residential care models, she aims to improve systems supporting marginalized groups. Notable projects include developing a wellbeing charter for children's home workers and exploring compassion fatigue in helping professions.
