Toni L. Griffin is a Professor in Practice of Urban Planning at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD), where she leads The Just City Lab. She also founded urbanAC, a consultancy addressing spatial and social inequity in cities like Detroit, Memphis, and St. Louis. Her academic roles include former positions at the City College of New York (Spitzer School of Architecture) and UC Berkeley. Griffin's work focuses on urban justice, equitable design, and revitalization of legacy cities.
Education: BArch from University of Notre Dame and Loeb Fellowship at Harvard GSD. Notable projects include Detroit Future City (2013), the Just City Index, and the Chouteau Greenway plan in St. Louis. Awards include the Theodore B. and Doris Shoong Lee Chair and US Commission on Fine Arts appointment (2016).
