Timothy Wootton is an Adjunct Professor of Music (Trumpet) at Evangel University and a Faculty Associate (Trumpet) at Southwest Baptist University, with a distinguished career as a performer and educator. He is actively engaged in orchestral, chamber, and solo trumpet performance across the Midwest and Southwest.
His research and performance interests center on trumpet performance, chamber music, and brass ensemble repertoire. He has premiered significant new works, including Michael “Bear” Schwartz’s ‘Trumpet Sonata in Three Movements’ and ‘Portraits of Masada,’ contributing to contemporary trumpet literature. His performance career includes appearances with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Ozarks Lyric Opera, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Kansas City Symphony, and international ensembles like the Krakow Chamber Orchestra.
Tim Wootton has received recognition through several prestigious awards:

- Finalist, Naftzger Young Artist Competition
- Winner, Band and Orchestra Solo Competitions, Missouri State University
As an educator, he maintains a private trumpet studio and serves as Guest Artist/Faculty at the Midwest Trumpet Festival. His former role as Artist-in-Residence at Missouri State University further demonstrates his academic engagement. He studied under renowned teachers including David Hickman, Grant Peters, Charlie Geyer, Ray Mase, Kevin Cobb, and John Shows.
He is a member of professional organizations such as the International Trumpet Guild and Pi Kappa Lambda, and served with the 135th Army Band.
