Professor Tim Bugg is a renowned academic at the University of Warwick, serving as Professor of Biological Chemistry since 1999. His research focuses on mechanistic enzymology with applications in antibacterial drug discovery and biocatalytic lignin valorization.

Recent projects include EU Horizon H2020 ZELCOR (lignin valorization) and BBSRC-FAPESP grants for ferulic acid conversion. His work employs biochemical synthesis, isotope labeling, and in vitro membrane system reconstitution.
