Sydney Cohen is a Senior Adjunct Professor in the First Year Core Studio Program at California College of the Arts. Her artistic practice explores abstraction, sensory perception, and consciousness through layered paintings and installations.
Holds a BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts and an MA/MFA from the University of Iowa. Recent exhibitions include shows at Fourth Wall Gallery and Maybaum Gallery. Work investigates relationships between color, form, and embodied experiences, often drawing from landscapes and architecture.
As an affiliate artist at Headlands Center for the Arts (2015–2018), she developed projects on spatial intimacy and perceptual ambiguity. Current work collaborates with AI to examine consciousness and sensory translation.
