Susan Folan

Susan Folan is a Lecturer at the University of Galway, affiliated with the Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge (Irish College of Languages). She co-founded and coordinates Ireland’s only MA Conference Interpreting program, delivering modules on consecutive interpreting, simultaneous interpreting, and the theoretical and practical dimensions of interpreting. Her professional engagement includes active work as a conference interpreter at the European Institutions, where she contributes to shaping contemporary practices in the field. She also serves as a member of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Interpretation Academy of Experienced Trainers.
