Dr. Sudong Shang is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Griffith University's Griffith Business School, and a member of the Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing. His research focuses on organisational behaviour, leadership, employee wellbeing, and immigrant acculturation. He holds a PhD from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, and previously served as a Research Fellow there (2018-2020). Shang has secured significant research funding including a $727,606 Australian Research Council grant on healthcare worker wellbeing and Hong Kong Metropolitan University projects on future of work strategies. His teaching expertise spans strategic HRM, organisational behaviour, and talent management. He has supervised seven doctoral candidates as an associate supervisor, exploring topics like leadership, wellbeing, and green HR practices. Shang has received awards including the 2024 Global Orientation Award for promoting Asia-focused education and the Emerald Literati Award for impactful research.
