Dr. Carys Chan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Griffith Business School, Griffith University. Her research program investigates how work and non-work domains interact, with particular focus on boundary management strategies, flexible work arrangements, and occupational stress across diverse professions. She serves as HDR Convenor and Lead Coordinator of the Enabling Women Mentoring Program, and is an active member of the Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing.
Dr. Chan earned her PhD in Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources from Australian National University (2014-2018) and a BCom(Hons) in Finance & Management from the same institution (2010-2013). She previously held positions as Lecturer in Organisational Psychology at Griffith University's School of Applied Psychology and as Lecturer in Management at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.
Her research focuses on work-life integration, with particular emphasis on boundary management strategies and occupational stress across diverse professions. Dr. Chan's work has established that self-efficacy is a critical psychological mechanism linking organisational support to positive work-family outcomes. Current projects examine tech-enabled inclusion for neurodiverse employees, return-to-work pathways for cancer survivors, and post-pandemic impacts of flexible work arrangements, reflecting her commitment to addressing contemporary workplace challenges through evidence-based research.

Dr. Chan is an active member of the Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing, contributing to research that bridges theoretical understanding with practical workplace applications. Her work emphasizes collaborative approaches, with partnerships spanning academic institutions, industry organizations, and government bodies to address critical workplace challenges at the intersection of work, wellbeing, and diversity.
