Associate Professor Hugh Tulloch James Bainbridge is a distinguished academic in the School of Management and Governance at UNSW Business School. He holds a BCom(Hons) and PhD in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour from the University of Melbourne. Currently, he teaches Strategic Human Resource Management in undergraduate and Masters of Commerce programs, and serves as the School of Management Postgraduate Research Co-ordinator, acting as the official contact for prospective Master of Philosophy or PhD students.
Dr. Bainbridge's educational background includes a BCom(Hons) and PhD in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour, both completed at the University of Melbourne. His academic journey has positioned him as a leading expert in workplace diversity and work-life integration issues.
His research focuses on workforce diversity with special emphasis on employees who provide informal unpaid care to family members who are elderly or disabled. Current work centers on eldercare, work-life issues, and how line managers and HR specialists can improve workforce experiences for employees with caregiving responsibilities.
