Professor Joe Jiang is the Head of Department (Business Administration) at RMIT University’s College of Business and Law in Melbourne, Australia. He holds a PhD from Macquarie University (2014), an MBA in Human Resource Management from South Korea, and a Bachelor of Bioengineering from China. His research focuses on career development, thriving at work, human resource management, and employee wellbeing, with over 70 journal articles in A*/A/Q1-ranked journals.
Previously, he served as Associate Professor at Flinders University (Head of Research), Senior Lecturer at Deakin University (Director of MBA programs), and held roles at Griffith University and Central Queensland University. He is an Associate Editor for Human Resource Management and sits on editorial boards of top journals like Journal of Organizational Behavior and Journal of Vocational Behavior.
Awarded the ANZAM Early Career Researcher Award (2016) and multiple Best Paper Awards, his work explores workplace diversity, fairness, and knowledge transfer in multinational enterprises. He has supervised nine PhD students (five completions) and teaches courses in leadership, human resource management, and organizational behavior.
