Steve Tague is the Department Chair and Producing Artistic Director of the Resident Ensemble Players (REP) at the University of Delaware's College of Arts & Sciences. He has been a core member of the REP company since its founding in 2008, combining teaching, acting, and directing roles.
- Education: B.F.A. in Theater from Illinois Wesleyan University, M.F.A. in Theater from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
With a career spanning decades, Steve has performed at major regional theaters including Seattle Repertory Theater, Great Lakes Theater Festival, and Delaware Theater Company. His repertoire includes iconic Shakespearean roles like Hamlet, Macbeth, and Prospero, as well as directing acclaimed productions such as The Importance of Being Earnest and Henry V. Since transitioning to academia in 1992 with the PTTP program (later dissolved), he has balanced teaching with artistic work at REP.
