Nate Gross serves as Associate Professor of Theatre and Director of the Theatre program at Kentucky Wesleyan College, bringing extensive professional experience from both academic and industry settings. His background spans performance, direction, and pedagogy with particular emphasis on classical and contemporary theatre practices.
His academic credentials include:
- Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing from University of Arizona
- Graduate of American Academy of Dramatic Arts Conservatory
- Third Year Repertory Company member at American Academy of Dramatic Arts
- Bachelor of Arts in History from California State University, Northridge
Professor Gross specializes in Shakespearean performance and direction, having portrayed iconic roles including Hamlet, Macbeth, Petruchio, and Iago while directing numerous Shakespeare productions. His instructional expertise spans Acting, Directing, Theatre History, Children's Theatre, and Improvisation, with additional focus on Playscript Analysis. His professional journey began in Southern California's Inland Empire theatre scene where he earned four Inland Theatre League awards before transitioning to academic leadership roles.

Professor Gross maintains active professional engagement through the South Eastern Theatre Conference and serves on the Board of Directors for Theatre Workshop Owensboro, while also contributing to regional theatre development.
