Dr. Souradet Shaw is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. He holds a Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Program Science and Global Public Health, focusing on the intersection of epidemiology, public health programs, and the social determinants of disease vulnerability.

Research Interests: His work centers on understanding how social contexts—such as geography, networks, and systemic inequities—shape risks for sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections (STBBIs). He employs quantitative methodologies and social epidemiology to inform interventions that reduce health disparities among marginalized populations.
Collaborations: Dr. Shaw collaborates internationally with institutions like the University of Nairobi, addressing STBBI prevention in sex worker and sexual minority communities. His research spans Canada, India, Pakistan, and Kenya.
