Dr. Leigh McClarty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Her research focuses on optimizing public health programming for HIV and STBBIs using Program Science to improve equity in access to healthcare for marginalized populations. She leads a global initiative addressing health inequities affecting criminalized groups and has expertise in transdisciplinary collaboration with communities, governments, and NGOs. Dr. McClarty holds a PhD from the University of Manitoba (2020) and has conducted postdoctoral work in global public health. She is actively involved in Manitoba’s HIV Program and serves as Board President of Nine Circles Community Health Centre.
