Dr. Card's research explores how inflammation affects HIV acquisition and progression through immune-stromal cell interactions. She also investigates immune responses to vaccines, particularly in diverse populations, with recent emphasis on COVID-19. Her work includes improving diagnostic algorithms for complex HIV cases and analyzing inflammatory exposures' impact on disease heterogeneity.
