Sophie Barnes, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Child Study Center within the Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Education Collaboratory and the Cipriano Lab. Her work focuses on advancing social and emotional learning (SEL) through evidence synthesis and school-based intervention evaluations. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from Harvard University, alongside degrees from NYU and HGSE. Her research emphasizes mechanisms supporting children’s skill development in schools, particularly executive function and self-regulation, and improving SEL measurement strategies.
