Shiyi Ye is a part-time Associate Lecturer (Teaching and Leadership) in the Department of Linguistics at Macquarie University, within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. He specializes in conference interpreter education and has over 15 years of experience as a freelance interpreter and translator. His teaching spans translation and interpreting units with a focus on conference interpreter training since 2008.

Recent Project: Co-leads the 'Translator and Interpreter Training for a changing world' consultancy project (2025–2026).
