Ms Alisa Tian is an Associate Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting at the School of Humanities and Languages within the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). She holds a Master of Philosophy in Translation Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Advanced Chinese Studies from UNSW, alongside a Master of Translation and Interpreting from Western Sydney University. Her teaching encompasses Legal Interpreting, Media Translation, and Text Analysis for Translation, with a track record of exceptional student satisfaction.

Alisa's research bridges translation pedagogy with systemic functional linguistics (SFL), focusing on integrating translation theory and practice.
