Sebrina Doyle Fosco serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies within the College of Health and Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University. Her work centers on developing sustainable wellbeing interventions for high-stress environments including K-12 schools, medical settings, community mental health facilities, and juvenile justice systems.
Her research focuses on mindfulness-based programming and social-emotional learning (SEL) for educators and youth services workers. As a certified master trainer for the Cultivating Awareness and Resilience in Education (CARE) program, she implements evidence-based professional development for teachers and administrators. She also co-developed the Mindful Awareness Program (MAP) for Wellness in Juvenile Justice to support youth services workers. Dr. Doyle Fosco prioritizes real-world research applicability and actively translates academic findings for community practitioners through accessible frameworks.
She leads multiple prevention science initiatives including CARE for Educational Leaders, CARE for Special Educators, and mindfulness implementation projects across diverse school contexts. Affiliated with Penn State's Prevention Research Center, her work bridges academic research and practical implementation to support caregivers of society's most vulnerable populations through sustainable wellbeing systems.
