Rebecca Fix, PhD, MS, is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mental Health within the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Her work focuses on reducing racial bias in the juvenile justice system and improving culturally-informed care for youth involved in violence. She holds a PhD from Auburn University (2017) and an MS from West Virginia University (2011).
Her research integrates clinical forensic psychology with social epidemiology, addressing disparities in legal and healthcare systems. Key areas include implicit bias training for justice professionals, trauma-informed care for assault victims, and police-youth interaction reforms. She leads multiple grants, including initiatives to optimize police training curricula and improve health outcomes for justice-involved populations.
