Sarah Hare is an architect and academic with dual affiliations. She holds a part-time Assistant Professorship at the University of Nottingham and a Design Fellowship at the University of Cambridge's Department of Architecture. She is a member of the Greater Cambridge Design Review Panel.
Her professional career includes founding Hoeger Hare Architects (1995) and later Sarah Hare Architects (UK), completing award-winning projects like the RIBA Award-winning Catholic Academy and St Bonifatus Chapel (Berlin). As Design Director at Haworth Tompkins, she led major housing and master-planning projects such as Chobham Manor (Olympic Park) and Fish Island Village.
Research interests focus on urban design, housing innovation, and culturally significant architectural projects. Her work bridges academic and practical design, emphasizing heritage conservation and community-focused planning.
Notable achievements include the Isaac Newton Design Fellowship (2007–2010) and recognition for projects like the Hardwick Park Heritage Resource Centre. Current roles combine teaching, research, and design advisory work.
