Nick Hayhurst is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton’s School of Architecture and Design, and Principal of Hayhurst & Co. Architects. He leads the RIBA Part 3 Course and teaches on the Part 2 Future Practice module. His research focuses on Professional Futures in architecture, Education Environments through co-design, and Density and Technology in urban housing. He chairs multiple design review panels, including the Southwark and Brighton & Hove panels, advising on major planning applications. Hayhurst’s architectural projects have earned over 8 RIBA awards, emphasizing sustainable design and innovative solutions. He contributes to professional validations as a RIBA Validation Board Chair and has served as an external examiner for academic programs.
Educational Background: MArch from the Bartlett School of Architecture (2006), Postgraduate Diploma from the AA School (2004), and BA in Architecture (1999).
