Sarah Garnish is a Research Fellow in the Department of Microbiology at Monash University, based in the Newton Lab at the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute. Her research focuses on the role of programmed cell death during bacterial infection, particularly exploring how bacterial pathogens manipulate host cell death pathways to enhance survival. She holds a PhD from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI), where she studied molecular signaling in lytic cell death pathways.
