Sandy Fitzgerald is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University’s School of Economics, Finance and Marketing, Department of Economics Finance & Marketing. She coordinates the postgraduate Services Marketing course (MKTG 1112), emphasizing real-world problem-solving through industry partnerships. As WIL (Work Integrated Learning) Coordinator, she integrates practical experience into education. Her expertise spans service marketing, social marketing, and transformative service research, with a focus on mobile service technologies, consumer wellbeing, and health behavior change. She collaborates with industry partners to bridge academic research and societal impact.
Her research explores service provider resilience, wellness app design, and customer relationship dynamics. Notable awards include RMIT’s 2014 Teaching Award for enhancing educational partnerships and College of Business Teaching Award 2014. She holds certifications as a Certified Practicing Marketer (AMI) and Qualified Practicing Market Researcher (AMSRS), alongside fellowships from AMSRS and the Australian Marketing Institute.
Recent publications highlight trends in service experience evaluation, customer affect, and healthcare service analysis. Her work bridges theory and practice, addressing both academic and industry challenges in service management and consumer behavior.
