Sabine Gabriel

Dr. Sabine Gabriel is a Research Associate and Lecturer at the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB) at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, working in the area of 'Heterogeneity and Inclusion' since February 2024. She previously served as Coordinator of the Network Office for Gender Research and Gender Teaching and as a Teacher for special tasks in the certificate course for second career teachers.

Her research spans Social Differentiation Processes in Schools, Postphenomenology and Body Pedagogy, Social Inequality and Educational Research, Second career teacher education, and Gender and Queer Studies. Dr. Gabriel's work uniquely bridges philosophical approaches with practical educational concerns, focusing on how bodily experiences shape inclusion and exclusion dynamics in educational settings.

Dr. Gabriel's recent publications (2024-2025) center on body-sensitive pedagogy in teacher education, examining how student teachers understand and work with bodily differences through case-based learning. Her methodological approach combines documentary analysis with postphenomenological perspectives to explore the relationship between corporeality and pedagogical practice.
