Dr. Tanja Kinne is a Senior Research Fellow at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg's Institute for Rehabilitation Pedagogy within the Faculty of Philosophy III. Her academic trajectory includes positions at the University of Leipzig (2001-2007) and as a substitute professor at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (2021-2022). She holds leadership roles including Board Member of the Center for Teacher Education and Faculty Council representative.
Her research focuses on embodied dimensions of inclusive education through three primary lenses:
- Body Pedagogy: Examining how bodily experiences influence learning and inclusion/exclusion mechanisms
- Disability Studies: Analyzing social constructions of disability in educational contexts
- Experiential Learning: Developing adventure-based methodologies for diverse learners
