Henrik Frisch

Henrik Frisch is a full-time researcher at the Chair of Special Education IV – Pedagogy for People with Intellectual Disabilities within the Faculty of Human Sciences, University of Würzburg. Holding the rank of Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (Researcher), he has been a scientific staff member since 2020 and previously contributed to the BMBF-funded CoTeach project (2020-2023).

Research Focus:
Frisch’s work centres on inclusive didactics for learners with intellectual disabilities, emphasising digital storytelling, media literacy, and heterogeneous learning groups. His empirical studies investigate how tablet-based narratives foster participation and cognitive activation in primary classrooms.

Publications Overview:
Between 2021 and 2025 he (co-)authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and practical teaching materials. The body of work clusters around three themes: (1) design and evaluation of digital winBooks/eBooks for beginning readers, (2) video-based classroom studies on digital storytelling, and (3) professional development of (prospective) teachers for inclusive digital education.
