Ruth Barker is a Professor at James Cook University and Principal Investigator for FNQ Connect: Connecting People, Connecting Care, a collective impact initiative reforming rehabilitation services in Far North Queensland. She also serves as a Senior Research Advisor (part-time) with Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA), focusing on cultural safety and Indigenous workforce development.

Grants: Over $20 million in funding for community rehabilitation projects in Northern Queensland. Leadership: Co-developed the Rural Generalist Education Program and Northern Australian Research Network. Mentorship: Supports PhD students in allied health disciplines.
