Rona Moss-Morris is Professor of Psychology as Applied to Medicine at King’s College London's Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry & Neuroscience. She leads the Digital Therapies Theme at the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre and previously served as Head of the Department of Psychology (2011–2016).
Her research focuses on psychological factors in chronic physical conditions, particularly multiple sclerosis, irritable bowel syndrome, and chronic fatigue syndrome. She develops cognitive behavioral interventions (CBT) and digital health solutions to improve patient self-management, validated through randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
Recent work includes digital therapies for IBD-BOOST and FRAME (breast cancer resilience) and tools like the Illness Perception Questionnaire. She has received accolades from the British Psychological Society (2015, 2020) and MS Society (2013).
As editor of Health Psychology Review, she shapes global discourse on transdiagnostic approaches to symptom distress.
