Robert Feirsen

Dr. Robert Feirsen serves as a Visiting Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Marist College, where he coordinates Graduate Programs in Educational Leadership, including SBL/SDL certification. Prior to his academic career, he held multiple leadership roles in P-12 education, including superintendent, principal, and teacher across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

His research interests encompass organizational conflict resolution in schools, the principal-school counselor relationship, teacher and principal retention strategies, psychological ownership in professional learning communities, and the application of design thinking to educational leadership. Dr. Feirsen has disseminated his work through publications in Educational Leadership, Kappan, and Education Week, as well as contributions to Edutopia.

Dr. Feirsen is the co-author of two influential books: "From Conflict to Collaboration" and "How to Get the Teaching Job You Want". He has also led professional development workshops at national conferences such as ASCD, ASCA, AACTE, and AERA, focusing on leadership and conflict resolution.
