معرفی
Professor Richard Haley is an experimental low temperature condensed matter physicist at Lancaster University, holding the title of Professor of Low Temperature Physics. He leads the Lancaster Ultra-Low Temperature Physics group and serves as Inaugural Director of the IsoLab facility since 2017.
His research focuses on superfluid helium-3 at extreme sub-millikelvin temperatures, exploring its quantum properties as a model for condensed matter physics and cosmological phenomena like black holes. Current projects include developing quantum-engineered sensors and nanofabricated systems for fundamental physics studies.
- Education: PhD in Superfluid Helium-3 from University of Manchester
- Key Collaborations: Royal Society, European Microkelvin Platform (EMP), Quantum Technology Centre
- Awards: Royal Society University Research Fellowship
- Leadership: Head of Low Temperature Physics (2014-2018), Director of IsoLab (2017-present)
