Dr. Rebecca Geddes is a Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College's Hawkshead Campus, working within the Department of Clinical Science and Services. She divides her time equally between clinical work at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals and research activities, with a specialized focus on feline internal medicine.

Dr. Geddes' research primarily centers on feline nephrology and endocrinology, with particular expertise in chronic kidney disease, calcium-phosphate homeostasis, and mineral and bone disorders in cats. Dr. Geddes serves as an Associate Editor in Nephrology/Urology for the Journal of Small Animal Practice and sits on the Clinical Research Ethical Review Board (CRERB) at the RVC. She currently holds research grants funded by Royal Canin, the Everycat Foundation, the Academy of Medical Sciences, and the Royal Veterinary College. Her teaching responsibilities include undergraduate clinical rotational teaching, supervision of Senior Clinical Training Scholars, and serving as Module Lead for the CertAVP C SAM Modules. She co-heads the RVC subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) clinic and has developed extensive resources for veterinarians and pet owners managing cats with SUB devices.
Dr. Geddes oversees the medical management for all cats seen through the QMHA subcutaneous ureteral bypass clinic and has established comprehensive protocols for SUB device maintenance, including regular re-examinations, urine monitoring, and dietary management specific to cats with kidney conditions.
