She demonstrates significant engagement with contemporary music through collaborations with living composers and improvisers, resulting in recordings like Hysteresis on Decca Records with the San Diego New Music Ensemble. Her pedagogical approach integrates performance practice with theoretical analysis, particularly in brass instrument methodology and experimental ensemble contexts.
