Rachel Allen serves as a Lecturer in Brass Methods and Theory at San Diego State University (SDSU), where she teaches music theory, brass methods courses, and co-directs the experimental ensemble. She maintains a dual teaching role at MiraCosta College instructing trumpet performance.
