Professor Dr. Peter A. Windel is a full Professor at the Faculty of Law, Ruhr University Bochum, where he holds the Chair of Procedural Law and Civil Law. He has held this position since January 26, 1999, succeeding Walter Zeiss. He previously served as Dean (2006–2008) and Vice Dean (2008–2010) of the Faculty of Law and is now regarded as the 'wise old man' of the faculty.
