Mr. Pete Lloyd is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Childhood Studies at Swansea University, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. With over 30 years of experience in education, he has taught physics, electronics, engineering, and science in both Welsh and English medium schools. He previously served as Head of Science in an 11-18 secondary school and led cross-curricular initiatives. Before joining academia, he worked as a Science Adviser for the Welsh Government’s ERW consortium, supporting science teachers across regions. He also contributes as an author and examiner for the WJEC science examinations.
His expertise spans postgraduate science education, practical science teaching, and Welsh-medium instruction. He is a fluent Welsh speaker and emphasizes physics education in his teaching and research interests.
