Dr. Pavle Erić is a Researcher at the Department of Genetics of Populations and Ecogenotoxicology, Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" (University of Belgrade, National Institute of the Republic of Serbia). His research focuses on population genetics, conservation genetics, experimental evolution, and genomics, with projects examining genetic diversity under environmental stressors, including heavy metal exposure and climate change impacts. He contributes to international collaborations like DrosEU and is affiliated with the Serbian Genetic Society, Entomological Society of Serbia, and European Society for Evolutionary Biology (ESEB).
Education:
- PhD in Biology (Genetics), University of Belgrade (2016–2024)
- Master of Academic Studies in Applied Genetics, University of Belgrade (2015–2016)
- Basic Academic Studies in Biology, University of Belgrade (2011–2015)
Key Projects: He leads studies on gene pool dynamics (OI173012, 2017–2079), heavy metal effects on populations (TEMEGENS, 2019–2020), and citizen science initiatives like "Go wild" (2025–2027). His work integrates eco-evolutionary frameworks to address biodiversity conservation and environmental challenges.
