Dr. Irena Hribšek is a Researcher at the Department of Population Genetics and Ecogenotoxicology, Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", University of Belgrade.
- PhD in Ecological Sciences, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade (2022)
- Master of Science in Biology, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade (2012)
Her research focuses on Ecology, Ornithology, Conservation Biology, and Conservation Genetics. She specializes in avian conservation, particularly raptor species like the Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus), using satellite tracking and environmental monitoring.
Current projects include long-term studies on population dynamics in Serbian nature reserves. She is a member of the Serbian Biological Society and contributes to multidisciplinary collaborations within IBISS.
