معرفی
Dr. Marija Tanasković is a Senior Research Associate and Head of the Department of Genetics of Populations and Ecogenotoxicology at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković," an Institute of National Importance for the Republic of Serbia affiliated with the University of Belgrade.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (2009-2016), Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade
- Master of Science in Biology (2001-2007), Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade
Dr. Tanasković's research focuses on population, conservation, and quantitative genetics, with particular emphasis on genetic polymorphism dynamics, genomic and environmental stress impacts on genetic variability, and ecogenotoxicological research. Her work primarily utilizes Drosophila species as model organisms. Her research spans biodiversity, Eco-Evo-Devo, ecotoxicology, evolution of life history traits, climate change responses, and conservation biology. She has been actively involved in multiple research projects examining genetic structure and adaptive processes in natural populations under changing environmental conditions.
Dr. Tanasković participates in significant research projects including studies on gene pool dynamics, heavy metal effects on genetic structures, Drosophila populations in the Balkans, honey bee genetics in Serbia, and European Drosophila population genomics. She is part of the international DrosEU collaboration network, demonstrating her engagement with the global scientific community.
Professional Experience:
- 2011-2015: Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade
- 2015-present: Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković," Institute of National Importance for the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade
