Tatjana Savić

Dr. Tatjana Savić serves as Principal Research Fellow at the Department of Genetics of Populations and Ecogenotoxicology, Institute for Biological Research \"Sinisa Stankovic\", University of Belgrade. With continuous affiliation since 1989, she advanced from Research Trainee to her current senior role and led the department as Head from 2010-2016.

Research Focus: Her work centers on population/ecological genetics and ecotoxicology, investigating environmental impacts on invertebrate behavior, neurobiology, and genetic structures. She specializes in medicinal plants' genetic toxicology while contributing to biodiversity, Eco-Evo-Devo, and behavioral biology fields through experimental analysis of fitness components, sexual selection, and adaptability in model organisms like Drosophila.

Mentorship & Projects: Dr. Savić has supervised graduate/PhD theses and lectured in doctoral programs while actively participating in national/international projects since 1989. Her collaborations include bilateral agreements with Serbia's Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, plus industry partnerships like \"Altamed\" Ltd for organic waste processing and royal jelly bioactivity studies.

Leadership: As former Department Head and scientific committee member, she drives research initiatives in ecogenotoxicology while contributing to scientific societies and institutional governance at this national research institute.
