معرفی
Aleksandra Patenković is a Senior Research Associate at the Department of Genetics of Populations and Ecogenotoxicology, Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" (IBISS), University of Belgrade. Her research focuses on population genetics, ecotoxicology, and adaptation mechanisms under environmental stress.
- Education: PhD in Biology (2016), MSc in Biology (2004), both from University of Belgrade.
Her work spans genetic variability in Drosophila and honey bee populations, examining mitochondrial DNA dynamics, stress response mechanisms, and climate adaptation patterns. Recent publications analyze anthropogenic impacts on genetic structures using advanced genomic tools.
Award-winning scientific communicator, she coordinates European Researchers' Night projects and serves on the Center for the Promotion of Science board. Patenković contributes to insect-based circular economy research and environmental biomonitoring initiatives.
