Paul-Martin Maki is an Associate in Music Performance at Columbia University's Department of Music, Director of Music at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Larchmont, and a faculty member at the Manhattan School of Music. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music (B.M., D.M.A. with Performer’s Certificate), Syracuse University (M.M.), and the Schola Cantorum in Paris (Diploma, highest honors as a Fulbright stipendiary). His expertise spans organ performance, specializing in Baroque and Romantic repertoires, and he has consulted on organ design for institutions like the Church of the Heavenly Rest and Grace Lutheran Church.
Research interests include the performance of Max Reger’s chorale fantasies and North German Baroque literature. He has performed internationally and released three CDs featuring works by Elgar, Mendelssohn, and others. Awards include the Fulbright Fellowship.
His career includes prominent recitals sponsored by the American Guild of Organists and Edinburgh Festival, alongside academic roles. He advises on organ design and has been featured on television and radio.
