Barbara Raedeke is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at Washington University in St. Louis, specializing in Organ Performance. She holds a D.M.A. and M.M. from the Eastman School of Music, and a B.M. from Valparaiso University. Her professional roles include Organist and Choir Director at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, alongside teaching positions at Lindenwood University and Middle Tennessee State University.
Her expertise spans organ performance, church music, and collaborative orchestral work. She has performed with prominent groups such as the St. Louis Symphony Brass Quintet and the Bach Society of St. Louis. Notably, her recording Confluence on the Juget-Sinclair organ was released by Raven Compact Discs. Raedeke is an active member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO), where she was a featured recitalist at the 2015 North Central Regional Convention.
Her educational background includes studies with renowned organists like Russell Saunders (Eastman School of Music) and André Marchal (Paris, France). She continues to engage in recitals, adjudication, and church music leadership, reflecting her commitment to both pedagogy and performance.
